When not having a little too much fun painting my nails I am a chef. I don't wear polish in the kitchen so I have a lot of opportunities to paint my nails. My nails can get a little crazy but isn't that what nail art is about?

color blocking
I went back to a previous paint job again today. It is simple to achieve with just a little tape. However, I had the same problem as last time - the masking tape was picking up some of the base color when I went to peel it off. Next time I will try painters tape and hopefully wait even longer for the base color to dry.
To do this paint job simply paint your nails (base coat, two coats of base color) and let dry till very dry. Apply some tape to block off the section you want to remain the base color (this paint job was just right down the middle, but it could be at any angle). Apply 1 coat of the second color and peel away the tape. Do not wait for the second color to dry, it will come off when you take the tape off. Also, it is best to do one hand at a time. To get the stripe down the center (this also helps hide any little imperfection in the line) just use a tiny fine point nail brush and draw a line. To get this level of silver polish, I had to paint the line three times. Apply your favorite top coat and you are ready to go.
I could see this paint job coming back during sporting events to support a certain team.

Do you paint your nails to support your team? Have you used tape in any of your paint jobs?
